Eden East

About Us

at Springdale Farm

Our Story

Located in East Austin on Springdale Farm, Eden East is a true farm-to-table dining experience. We serve a monthly prix fixe menu every weekend, and an a la carte breakfast on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Every month, our chefs develop a menu based on what is available from our local farms and ranches, which includes the freshest, most vibrant seasonal ingredients. To see what our offers are for this month, please visit our menu page.

Our guests dine al fresco style at community tables situated under a majestic Elm tree. We are able to adjust our menu to fit most dietary restrictions. Our property is BYOB, so break out that vintage bottle of wine you have been saving for a special night. We provide corkage, chillers, wine glasses and flutes at no additional cost. Forgot the booze? There is an onsite bar that serves complimentary Deep Eddy cocktails.

Eden East can be booked for receptions, private parties and corporate events.

Springdale Farm

Owned since 1992 and farmed since 2009 by Glenn and Paula Foore, Springdale Farm sits on 4.83 acres just 3 miles east from the State Capitol in Austin, Texas. The farm is committed to growing produce for Eden East & anyone in the area interested in eating fresh, local food and works daily to create a sustainable future “for ourselves and our community.”

The award-winning farm, who regularly teams up with local organizations to host educational food, music and arts events, has been named Edible Communities Local Hero in the Farm / Farmer category four years in a row.

The Foores love what they do and love serving Austin’s local food community, hosting community events throughout the year like the East Austin Urban Farm Tour and the annual Tomato Dinner, and most of all, being a community hub in the heart of East Austin.

Sonya Coté

Chef + Owner, Sonya Cote

The chef and champion for local food that brings the table to the farm, Sonya is chef + owner of Eden East, Hillside Farmacy, and Sinclair (Clifton, TX).

Sonya Coté is all about bringing diners to the source of their food in hopes of showing the work that goes into growing each tomato and harvesting every eggplant. “All of the people that grow food have such passion, and it’s so important for the consumer to see that,” she says. “Plus, we should be buying food from our local farmers because it helps our economy. It’s such a no-brainer, but a lot of people just don’t think about it.”

What Our Guests Think:

Absolutely amazing 5-course meal prepared for our 45 guests! The Chef paid special attention preparing entrees that our guests with dietary restrictions could enjoy. Every single bite of every single dish was so flavorful, vibrant, fresh and delicious.
The staff were attentive, polite, explained our dishes, and overall a joy to interact with. If you ever want a guaranteed 5-star meal, you must dine at Eden East. You will not be disappointed.

I almost didn’t write this review because I kind of wanted this place to stay a secret! It was awesome, perfect for a crowd or just a romantic dinner with a friendly atmosphere. It was so quaint and the food was delightfully simple and not overdressed. It’s BYOB which is always a huge plus. Service was perfect. Great atmosphere. So happy we found this gem.

This place is incredibly special. The space is a rustic, yet a very well put together outdoor venue that let’s you know that you’re right where your food is from. But the real delight is when it comes to the dishes – everything here was delicious and left nothing at all to be desired, and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local products they were serving.
